We would like to congratulate Conor for a job well done as he gathered video footage and produced a short film about those who live with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. This film was shared at the 3rd Annual Faces of Juvenile Arthritis fundraising event on Friday, March 10th. Big congratulations goes out to both our Primary and Intermediate Sansome Choirs on receiving GOLD for their performances at the Winnipeg Music Festival!
Both choirs have been practicing once a week during their lunch hour and have worked hard to both learn their pieces and to sing as a team.
The Intermediate Choir sang 2 pieces; a beautiful lullaby called 'All The Pretty Little Horses' as well as a piece in Zulu called 'Thula Klizeo' which had lots of fun rhythms and some body percussion.
The Primary Choir also sang 2 pieces; a lilting lullaby called 'Dance of the Willow' where we imagined swaying gently like the branches of a graceful willow tree, and 'Sing a Song of Nonsense' which was a tongue twister at times and lots of fun!
Congratulations to both choirs on very fine performances at the Festival and for being such wonderful ambassadors of Sansome School!
Our Intermediate Choir has now been invited to sing at the Choral Evening of Excellence!
This invitation is based on the choir's performance at the Winnipeg Music Festival last week. This is a huge honour to be invited to sing as part of this concert.
Choral Evening of Excellence Concert Details:
Wednesday March 15, 2017 at Westminster United Church.
Concert starts at 7pm and is finished at 8:30pm.
