We would like to thank our entire community for their support and generosity throughout one of our busiest months of the year. We were able to support multiple charities through cash, clothing and food donations, create 9 generous hampers for members of our own community and celebrate the many talents of all of our students across two days of concerts. Our Parent Council ran a very successful fundraiser for our school and had a large amount of support for the Pizza Fun Lunch today.

Thank you again to all of our Sansome families for the donations of items for our past Rock Paper Scissors event in support of Project Echo and the initiatives led by Sturgeon Heights Collegiate. Over $10 000 in donations and items were raised in support of their efforts in a fun filled division wide event. We would like to congratulate Campbell from grade 5 who ended up winning the entire tournament and was crowned the "St. James Assiniboin School Division Rock Paper Scissors Champion." Well done Campbell and congratulations to all who participated.

At this time of the year, we start to prepare for the cold recess events. Teachers are currently reviewing in class games and activities in case students need to remain indoors due to the cold temperatures. If you have any games or activities that you are no longer using and would like to donate them to the school, please send them to the office.
Just a reminder for parents to also encourage your children to dress appropriately for the weather. Students are expected to go outside unless the temperature is equivalent to or lower than -27 C, in which case indoor recess will be held. We review the temperature prior to each recess by reviewing several weather sites across the city. Jackets, boots, ski pants, mitts, toques, scarves and packing some extras in case they get wet all help make recess that much more enjoyable.
